Our Tutors
Specialists - Committed - Passionate - Creative - Engaging
Our team of enthusiastic, dedicated practitioners are positive role models who are constantly demonstrating their commitment to children’s development, progress and attainment.
We work with a diverse range of tutors with a range of skills and areas of specialism including teachers, writers, practising artists, filmmakers, musicians, coaches, graduates and PhD students. The quality all our tutors have in common is the ability to transfer their commitment, enthusiasm and belief in life-long education to each student they work with.
To be a Knowledge Seekers tutor, it is not enough to show expertise within a particular subject. Each tutor undergoes a rigorous application process. New applicants receive a 30 minute screening call, and may then be invited to an activity and scenario-based interview. If they are successful here they are enhanced CRB checked and invited to attend our induction training before they begin tutoring with us.
My daughter's relationship with her tutor is wonderful. She sees her as much more than a teacher and wants tutorials for life! On the educational side, her confidence in maths and English has grown, which was very useful when it came to the 7+ exams for JAPS and Alleyns. Our daughter was offered a place at both and so is now in a positive position where we are spoilt for choice. She had a session the day before the interview to coach her on interview techniques. This boosted her confidence a lot and she excelled. We will be continuing to see our tutor, even though the exams are over, simply because of how beneficial the relationship is for our daughter.

Our Bespoke Tutor Training and Development Programme
Training does not stop when a tutor takes on their first student; this is only the start. We see learning as a life-long process not just for our tutees, but for our tutors as well. This is the rationale for our bespoke tutor training and development programme:
- A completely individualised programme of tasks and activities to complete, tailored to each tutor and the needs of the students in their care.
- A bank of tailored resources accessible to all tutors to support planning.
- Continuous tutor feedback and target setting.
- In-house ‘training for excellence’ for our tutors delivered by educational professionals who are experts in their field, addressing themes within certain areas of tutoring.
- Taking of regular feedback and testimonials from parents or guardians of all tutees.
- Regular lesson observations.
